Why Meditate
I have asked myself this question many times throughout my life. At 12 years old by happenstance( through a family friend of a friend) I was taught Transcendental Mantra Meditation and most of my life have used Mantra Meditation in one form or another with many different teachers from many different traditions.
Who Am I
I have been using meditation as a daily practice since I was 12 years old being introduced to Transcendental Meditation by a friend who followed Yoga Nanda then later around 2000 was introduced to Samarpan Meditation following Swami Shrivkrupananda. In addition Ascension Meditation with Openhand in Glastonbury
My wife and I traveled the world training to be complementary therapists. Our journey began with Aroma therapy training. We then went through all levels of Reiki becoming Reiki master/teachers in the Usui Tradition advancing into Karuna Ki Reiki and Rihanni Reiki.
We are accredited QXCI Higher Purpose practitioners under the tutelage of Prof. Bill Nelson and EFT practitioners.
Most recently I became accredited Yoga Nidra Instructors then I received accreditation as a Primordial Sound Meditation Instructor from Chopra Global in February 2022 and am proud to be a part of that community. My goal is in line with Deepak's to strive to help reach a critical mass of 1 billion people meditating regularly. So please join me on the beginning of a great adventure.
WHY MEDITATE
Deepak Chopra explains
During most of our waking life our minds are engaged in a continuous internal dialogue in which the meaning and emotional associations of one thought trigger the next. We hear a snippet of music and suddenly we’re thinking about the first time we heard that song with an old boyfriend or girlfriend and how that relationship ended. If we’re still holding emotional pain over that ending, those feelings may bubble up and then our mind may veer into criticism, self-pity, or worries about the future. All day long our mind spins stories about our work, our health, our finances, our family, and our future. Often we’re not even conscious of the internal soundtrack unspooling in our mind and yet it is the greatest source of stress in our lives. Although the mind is capable of creating life-affirming stories, it has what neuroscientists refer to as a negativity bias, a tendency to pay more attention to negative experiences than to positive ones. The negativity bias evolved as a survival instinct millions of years ago, as our ancestors focused their attention on avoiding potential threats in their environment rather than on rewards. Stopping to savor a delicious meal or admire a Paleolithic sunset would have used valuable attentional resources, leaving our ancient ancestors more vulnerable to attack by a predator. Those who survived to pass on their genes paid a lot of attention to danger. Their legacy is a brain that is primed to focus on negative experiences and has a tendency to get stuck in conditioned patterns of thinking, returning again and again to thoughts of anxiety, depression, and limitation

Why Primordial Sound Meditation
I have outlined generally the reasons for meditation siting Deepak Chopra as himself and Dr. David Simon revived this Vedic technique of Mantra Meditation to ensure its authenticity they sought permission from Indian and American scholars spending long periods of time over the last 3 decades studying and practicing in India.
Deepak and now Roger Gabriel ( Dr. Simon sadly Passed away ) Have also spent the last 30 years training 1000's of Instructors all over the world to teach PSM. So the community you are joining once having learnt the technique is vast and far reaching helping to reach Deepak's magic critical mass of 1 billion people meditating regularly to change the vibration of the world for good.
Over 4 sessions you will learn in detail the reasons why we meditate. Then in a 1 to 1 ceremony you will be given your own personal primordial sound mantra. We then move on to perfecting our practice this includes setting up a unique personal space at home for best practice and is a great session as you get to discuss how you have felt after using your mantra for a week and grill me on pretty much anything you want to know. Finally in session 4 we look at the Higher States of Consciousness which you may have glimpsed or will with practice be encountering regularly.
